club layouts

Welcome to the layouts section. Club layouts are owned by the model railway club and built with the input of all club members. When we build club layouts, it's a great way to learn new skills. If you would like to get involved in helping us build our layouts,

Bardowie
00 Scale - 1950s/1960s
This layout represents an ex Caledonian Railway branch line to the small market town of Bardowie, which when originally built, went no further than Bardowie. In the LMS days, the line was extended on into the rural depths of Scotland.

The layout can be provided as both a teminus and as a through station. Operation is in the days of British Railways, Dr Beechings axe has yet to fall.

Glenburn
N Scale
We are currently constructing a new N scale layout. This features two different railways on two different levels.

On the bottom level, a mainline with passing loop and a small station, and on to top level, a station with passing loop on a single track line.

The layout is being built so it can operate any era of rolling stock, from the 1950s to the present day.

members layouts

Some of our members also contruct their own layouts, which occasionally are seen at Model railway exhibitions.
