The One Model Railway Club was set up in 2005 by a group of National Express staff who had noticed there was a lot of people within the railway industry who were interested in railway modelling but were not part of a club.

The Club provides both a Social and Modelling place for Railway Staff and we meet every Thursday Night from 5pm and Sunday from 4pm. As well as modelling we also have social events and go on days out.


We had stuck a deal to rent two rooms at Stowmarket Rail Station from national express, which we found in reasonable state and are protected by cctv and 24 hour staff on site. We are happy to say the planning application for the Indian Takeaway was rejected and we are hoping to agree a longer term deal with National Express.

All our members are current or retired railway staff and model a variety of periods in both N Gauge and OO Gauge. The "one" comes from the former trading name "one" railway which operated in East Anglia from April 2004 to February 2008 before becoming National Express East Anglia.
